About Avlon Welsh Ponies

This stud started breeding ponies in 2000, I put my foundation mare Nattai Widgeon in foal and she produced a very nice part welsh filly Avlon Lady Oberon I then went on with her putting her to Kent Park Nerod and then Nattai Calypso ,  I was blessed with 2 fillys Avlon Azure and Avlon Jenny Wren (top Photo), both champions. Sadley I had to make the hard decision to lay Nattai Widgeon to rest under a tree in my back paddock.

I was lucky enough to purchase some more very good mares from the Nattai Sale being Nattai Swallow, Nattai Gwynora  Kent Park Little Wren and Nattai Rain Drop. They have all been my joy along with the foals they have produced firstly by the Nattai Stallions that sired the foals at foot and they were all in foal again before I put Nattai Seraph over them and some very well performed ponies have resaulted. So I now have a very good little stud of ponies true to type and with wonderfull temperaments.

I have some of these  for sale from time to time and visitors are always welcolme to come and see. I live at Cudal between Cowra and Orange in central NSW a beautifull part of the world.

I show my ponies and enjoy the few times I have had sucsess this year 2010 winning champion mare at the victorian All Welsh with Avlon Jenny Wren and also Champion open lead rain First Ridden with Avlon Azure(curently leased to Sally Boucher for her wonderfull daughter Sophie, they prepair and show her to perfection) Also  Avlon Widgeon was the winner of the Best Foal Futurity exhibit a great thrill having won this event with her Dam Avlon Jenny Wren.

I can not go past the mare Avlon Erian owned by the Smart family in Forbs NSW who has won such a lot under saddle and Lead Rain she will be off to Sydney Royal shortly and I wish them good luck.

I have started breeding a few Section B ponies using Amaranda Admiral as my sire and I have used him over some Part Arab mares and he has left some stunning galloways yet to showen.
